I hired Top Star Moving because their quote was the lowest. The quote was done via the Internet. I called to have someone come out and look so I could get a more exact quote, they said they didn't need to come out that all I had to do was list my items. After I finished packing, I called back to say that I had more boxes than anticipated, and he said it didn't matter, that the price was still the same. I was not told that all the tape, wrap, etc was extra. When they finished, my bill was over double. They charged me almost $700. for packing material, tape, wrap and cardboard. They charged me $50 each for cardboard crates which was nothing more than cardboard wardrobe boxes that they cut up. They also charged me for bubble wrap that wasn't even used. They told me that I would have 48 hours notice on delivery. I was also told that it would be Top Star moving trucks and employees at the destination, which was not true. There was a local moving company that delivered my furniture. When the delivery truck got there, they were told to not unload due to Top Star not sending them their money, so they took my furniture back to their warehouse. I called Top Star several times to find out what was going on and they told me three times that they would call me back in fifteen minutes. I never did get a call back. I guess they finally paid the other company because they came back to deliver. I still haven't heard from Top Star. I would not recommend these people. They say one thing and do another.
