I dropped my 2008 S-80 (a company car managed by GE Fleet Service) off for service last Friday night. On Sat, the service advisor (Lori) told me that she had called GE and was waiting approval for an oil change, brakes, rearview mirror, etc. I asked what the cost was for the mirror - around $600 with labor, so I told her to forget it. Also, I told her that I did not need an oil change because I recently had one.
On Monday I called, but no one had worked on my car nor tried to call GE until after they were closed.
On Tues morning, I talked to Lori and she told me that I was approved for the mirror, battery, brakes, etc. Once again, I reminded her that I did not want to spend the $600 for the mirror. When I picked up the car, I noticed that I (GE Fleet Service) had been charged $51 for an oil change. Why? This is service that I specifically said that I did not want.
