I contacted Memorex Imation Electronic Products customer via their website for assistance with a MP3 player I purchased for my daughter for a Christmas present. The MP3 worked for about 2 months with out many issues. I tried to download additional songs for her for a road trip we were taking and it was the most miserable experience I have had. The response time was SUPPOSE to be 48 hours, I got my first response to an email I submitted on Tuesday, March 31 on Friday, April 3, way more than 48 hours. The response was to make sure the song wasn't copyright protected, DUH! What kind of a moron do they think people are. I send a second email on Monday, April 6 restating my issue and lack of help only to get the same response on Friday, April 10 and a phone number to call. The hours of service and M-F 9am to 5 pm. I'm sorry but like most of the people today I also have a job! but I work 8am to 5 pm, M-F, doesn't leave a great deal of time to set on the phone to solve what I thought was a simple enough technical problem. I called the company this morning, April 13 and was on hold for 30 minutes, needless to say I had to hang up and get back to work. The joys of being middle class. I will never again purchase something with the Memorex name on it. They are awful in my book. What ever happen to customer service?
