Didn't work for me - have had full hysterectomy

Was advised studies done did NOT include women who had had full hysterectomy, so I was disappointed but not upset. I had been taking HRT for the 2 years since surgery when I gradually started having hot flashes and night sweats again. Was tired of smearing gel on my arm every night, so I told my doctor I wanted to try Amberen. She said okay but was not hopeful it would work. She was right. I followed the directions by doubling the dosage after 10 days, but the night sweats and hot flashes got increasingly worse. I took all but 5 days of the 90-day (45-day at double dose) before I returned to my HRT. After only one week being back on HRT, the sweats and flashes have decreased. I do not regret trying Amberen and had no other negative side-effects while taking it.
