I wish Maytag still made portable AC's. I bought mine 8 summers ago and it is still going strong. I would definitely buy Maytag appliances in the future and recommend them for workmanship and durability. I have purchased 2 other portable AC's from other companies for the second bedroom since moving into a larger place and neither one has lasted more than 2 summers. But my Maytag is still running strong. I've been looking to buy another one of Maytag's portable AC's for the second bedroom but unfortunately Maytag no longer makes them.
