DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH DYSON MEDIA!
|
I mistakenly signed up for advertising with Dyson Media/Best of Magazine & have had several cases of false & misleading information from them. I was pushed into advertising with them, being basically told I had to sign within 15 minutes, & each time I tried to read the contract the sales rep kept pulling it away & repeatedly kept touching me on the arm. He also kept showing me other customer's private information & payments/checks to try to convince me to sign. The sales rep very specifically told me I needed to pay the deposit & then each remaining payments would be due in 30-day periods (despite what their contract normally calls for) because I told him of my concern with the expense since I am just getting my new business started. I paid the initial deposit & found out when I was trying to pay some other bills that my card was declining due to the fact that they ran an unauthorized payment on my card, & tried to do so again within less than 1 month causing me needing to cancel that credit card. I have inquired several times as to my ad status after hearing no status updates, & each time I have been told something completely different. I called for an update last week & was told the magazine was already printed & would be going out very shortly, but when I called to follow up as to why I was being charged again already when I had made payment arrangements to I was met with the attitude that I just needed to read my contract with them. I called back again & spoke to the CEO who then told me nothing has been printed yet, & tried to tell me their cost is already over the $618 they already charged me when they haven't even printed anything. I told him not to print anything & that I wanted to cancel. At 1st he said they can't cancel, but then admitted he can when I told him he's the CEO & can make a decision like that. He kept telling me he won't cancel, & the conversation was pointless & was unwilling to resolve the issues past offering me a larger ad and/or refund of the payment fee. He also was claiming he's not responsible for what his sales rep said, even though it was a verbal contract & obviously lies to "get the deal," etc. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau & suggest everyone else do the same. I just hope I can get some of my money back & hope this company goes out of business. Very misleading, no business or services rendered as promised & massive headaches. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!
