Always request a receipt. Sometimes cashiers are so distracted or busy that they won't provide customers with their receipt. Trust me to avoid any problems or misunderstandings be firm and request your receipt before leaving to pump your gas. This will prevent you from wasting time arguing with cashiers. Make sure they assign your gas to your requested pump #.
