Review 12/12/2008

I just signed up a couple of months ago and I am in a very competitive market for what I sell, and I was a bit skeptical when I did see that little DVD they showed me that I was going to get everything they said I would for the price they showed me, as I have done A TON of advertising, and much of it was a complete waste of time and money, and broken promises. I have also gotten ripped off completely a time or two.
UPSIDE: Well, I was pleasantly surprised when I definitely saw the magazines in the store that I regularly shop at, moving off of the racks because every time I went in there were a good deal missing, from the last time I was in the store. With the economy the way it is I will try anything for more business. Well, it seems to be working. I put a coupon of sorts in there, and I counted every single one (most people told me after I asked the verbally). I have currently, after 2 months of it being in there, have had 127. That was more than all of the other advertising I was doing COMBINED to date. I know the TV stuff came out in the 2nd month, so maybe that had a lot to do with it. I don’t know, but I could not be happier at the moment. It could not bring in a single additional customer at this point and I am in the green already. I see the other comment the other gentleman put in here, and my rep did not really give me an exact date when it would be out. I got a pack of 10 in the mail, then I went down there and they were in the rack, so…OK with me.
I had a fair amount of sales from the website forwarding to my website (I have a hit box tracker and it tells me where my “referral” links are coming from-I would suggest everyone get that if you sell on your site to see where your traffic comes from) but nothing to write home about. It was more the customer buying the low priced items than the actual referrals from ADCO’s site. I did get a lot of them though.
DOWN SIDE – I could not change my ad in the 6-month period. I had some holiday specials I wanted to do and really did not take that into consideration. Also, as the gentleman above said, in the beginning after they went in, I did see my rack empty once when I went in on a Monday to shop and got a little nervous. I thought, OK here it is, this is the catch. They fill it once and that’s it!- but Tuesday after work I went by and there was a full rack again. That made me feel happy again. Never did see it empty again, but I am not checking constantly. Maybe they need bigger racks, or more than one spot.
Overall experience has been good so far. Definitely would go back into it.
